Empathy

I seek to understand first, then I seek to help. I listen without interrupting. I am fully present in the moment and take personal interest in what is important to others. I treat others the way I want to be treated, therefore the decisions I make for my students, teachers, and community are indicative of an all-inclusive and collaborative culture.

Respect

I lead with appreciation. I don't have to be the smartest person in the room and I am always open to new learning opportunities. I believe that people strive to do thier best and I give credit where is it is due.

Reflection

I am self-aware and open to others' ideas. I am able to accept praise and criticism and to think laterally. I examine and challenge my own assumptions and bias. I realize that success in schools are more about the people than the programs.

Inclusion

I honor and value the beliefs, cultures, and styles of communication of all. I manage my emotions and understand the emotions of others. I am both emotionally and culturally intelligent. I value fairness and respect. I promote psychological safety and collaboration. I strive to amplify the collective voices of my team.
